Ender’s Game, New Movie Based on the Teen Novel

Since the success of the movie series " Harry Potter " and " Twilight “, the major studios in Hollywood are racing to create the next teen movie franchise. Despite having a promising start like “The Hunger Games” (2012), there is also a need to deal with losses like " Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters " ( 2013).

This year, the audience was treated to " Beautiful Creatures “and” The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones " equally aground on the market. Although often fail, movie - film adaptation of the young adult novels never stopped being produced. Filmmaking trend of young adult novels will probably slowly die, but until next year Hollywood will still try to market similar films. Could have managed to capture some new fans, the rest may be immediately forgotten.

Hood involvement in this film is quite long, because he had written earlier draft script of “Ender’s Game " four years ago.

Although the book has a lot of fans and his long awaited project “Ender 's Game " quite disturbed when some time ago was boycotted by Geeks Out . Card positions are known to be quite frontal opposition to the Lesbian , Gay , Bisexual , Transgender ( LGBT ) make her lose the sympathy of many science fiction movie fans who disagreed with his opinions . Lionsgate Entertainment itself diplomatically distanced Card and ensures that the views of the novelist have absolutely no effect on the development of the film.

Synopsis: In the future, a dangerous alien race who has attacked Earth called Formics. If not for the presence of a legendary hero named International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham ( Ben Kingsley ) , the Earth must have been destroyed . Before the big attack others followed , Colonel Hyrum Graff ( Harrison Ford ) was looking for talented young people to be the successor of Rackham . Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy boy with a brilliant mind, was selected for entry in this training. Ender capability that stands out in this school was considered the great hope of the military. Yes, it’s about Lee Seung Ki again. I am always happy if talking about him. After his appear in Brilliant Legacy, I often search about him trough his song or profile. On the recent day, my friend has come to visit Bali and give me a new DVD. Its Lee Seung Ki’s new drama movie titled My Girlfriend is Gumiho or My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox.

My Girlfriend is Gumiho tell about Cha Tae Woong (Lee Seung Gi), the childish younger who want to be a superhero. He wants to become an actor but his grandfather didn’t accept his desire and force him to attend the college. Tae Woong runaway from his grandfather and arrive and ancient temple and accidentally frees a Gumiho from the painting. The Gumiho is a beautiful woman which is acted by Shin Min Ah. Tae Woong scared and runaway from the temple and he has accident on escarpment and dying. The Gumiho gives Tae Woong the worth bead to help Tae Woong.



The bead is very important to her; she can not far from the bead because her aura can be weakened. She continued to follow Tae Wong back to Seoul. Tae Woong try to stay away from Gumiho but he cannot because if the bead taken away, Tae Woong could get hurt. he was forced to live in one house with Gumiho that named Min Ho. the problem comes when Noona, women who Tae Woong love comes and see their closeness.
Some scenes in this drama seem romantic, but almost throughout the film are filled with naturalist comedy scene. The audience will be laughing so hard when Min Ho misinterpret and give Tae Woong the banner of handy cam advertisement. She though Tae Woong said if the advertisement is awesome, but actually the handy cam which said awesome by Tae Woong.

The funniest scene is when they take the bus. A man intends to approach Min Ho, but Tae-Woong sit besides Min Ho and deliberately show their couple ring. Then Tae Woong school friend came to them and ask Tae Woong’s phone number, Min Ho do the same thing and show their couple ring to expel the girl.

This drama also includes a variety of romantic scenes that can make a tear, especially when Tae Woong intentionally left Min Ho on a cruise ship to sail although he knows that Min Ho afraid of water. Min Ho crying and when it rains suddenly fell. Its called fox rain.

There is one song in the original sound track that I liked. The song often appear on the sad romantic scene, such as when Min Ho crying after left in cruise. The OST is downloadable music. if you want to try, the titled is Fox Rain, you can get the music download in internet.

Transformers 3 : Dark of the Moon

Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is the third film of the Transformers series. Directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. This is the sequel of Transformers and Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. Plot Summary:

The vampire girl stays with a middle aged a man who appears to be her father. It becomes apparent that the most important thing in the life of this man is to protect and nourish this vampire girl. But since the vampire girl cannot consume regular food, this man often has to kill people and store their blood in plastic bottles, in order to keep this girl alive. Towards the end of the movie, this man is severely wounded in a car accident during one of his attempts to kill a student in order to put his blood in a plastic bottle for the vampire girl. He unconditionally sacrifices his life in order to protect the vampire girl, so that the police cannot catch her. He burns his face and his hands with acid so that the police cannot identify him as the protector of the girl, and just before he dies, he even gives his own blood to the vampire girl.

The vampire girl is traumatized and confused by the loss of her human protector, and the young boy becomes the only human who is capable of helping her. As the friendship between the boy and the vampire girl deepens, it becomes clear (from the ancient photographs on the table in the vampire girl's residence), that the middle-aged man who was protecting the vampire girl, was not her father, but that once upon a time, he, too, was a young boy who became the friend of the 12 year old vampire girl who remains young as long as she is not destroyed by sunlight or by breaking her neck. Now that the middle aged man (the former friend of the vampire girl) is dead, it becomes clear that the 12 year old boy from Los Alamos, is destined to become her new protector.

Brilliant Legacy

Brilliant Legacy. This is the last Korean movie that I have watched. An actually, this movie has been aired in one of my country’s television channel. I really love this series, and watch all of the 28 episodes on less than 4 days.

Brilliant Legacy or also known by the title of Shining Inheritance, this Korean’s series movie would be the most coveted audience after hearing the success last year. When Boy Before Flower, one of famous Korean series was still booming, Brilliant Legacy makes people spellbound with spectacular rating, up 41.3 percent! While that's terrible BBF only scored a maximum of 36 percent.

This series tell about Eun-seong Ko (Han Hyo-Joo) lost her mother at the age of 11. Her father remarried when she was 16 to Seong-hee Baek (Kim Mi-Suk), whom Eun-seong felt did not love her. She quickly grew disillusioned with her new family. Tragedy strikes Eun-seong again when her father suddenly dies. Then, by accident, good fortune arrives on Eun-seong's doorsteps when she inherits a vast fortune, but not from her father.

The plot still tell about Alice, who starred by Milla Jovovich. Resident Evil: Afterlife picks up where the third film left off. Since the events of Resident Evil: Extinction, Alice has been roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors. As she enters the ruined Los Angeles, she stumbles onto a prison surrounded by zombies. She then teams up with a group of survivors who had been hiding in Los Angeles since the T-Virus outbreak and helps them break out other survivors held within the jail which include Claire's brother Chris Redfield.

One more upcoming 3D cartoon movies, How to Train Your Dragon The Movie will be released on March 26, 2010. This computer animated movie was produced by DreamWorks Animation loosely based on the 2003 book of that same title.
The film is set in a mythical world of Vikings and dragons. The story centers around a viking teenager named Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen’s smarts and offbeat sense of humor is disliked by his tribe and its chief, Hiccup’s father, Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler). However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter. After he entangles a dragon with a bolas-shooting cannon, Hiccup releases and ends up befriending the dragon, who he dubs with the name, Toothless. The next upcoming fantasy movie, based from a series of adventure and fantasy books, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, authored by Rick Riordan. Will be released on 12 February 2010 in USA, this movie is directed by Chris Columbus. Staring with Rosario Dawson, Logan Lerman, and also the ex-James Bond, Pierce Brosnan.

Take setting on 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson's Greek mythology texts and into his life. One more animation movie that was produced by Sony Pictures Animation, now time taken from the children's book with the same name. Was release on September 18, 2009, this movie features the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Bruce Campbell, James Caan, Bobb'e J. Thompson, Andy Samberg, Mr. T, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Al Roker, Lauren Graham, and Will Forte. It was written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who both are best known for the animated TV series Clone High.



The story began with the closing of The Baby Brent Sardine cannery in the town of Swallowfalls. This closing makes the town less of food source and weakening the economy has closed for good. And there is Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader), someone who always invents some of new machine such as Spray-On Shoes, the Remote Control Television, Flying Car, and Ratbirds - has ended in nothing but disaster. He wants to help everybody in Swallowfalls with invent some machine that converges water molecules to create food. After some failed and problems, his machine is works and create a rain of food. Ice cream, spaghetti, burger. But later the machine on trouble and the food that was created become large size.

This movie so unique because make children's fantasy and dreams come true. I always imagined about the rain of foods, so I can eat any foods that I wanted. Let see when the tornado of spaghetti dropped on people, the sandwich stick on Eiffel or the giant corn roll in big wall in china.

Arthur And The Revenge Of Maltazard Movie

One upcoming movie to indonesian's cinema, and absolutly the next of Freddie Highmore's movie. Arthur And The Revenge Of Maltazard Movie is the sequel of Arthur and the Invisibles. This movie contain of a half animation and also half live action part, was released on November 26, 2009, and directed (also written) by Luc Besson.

The story taken time in the 1960s. 13-year-old Arthur stays with his grandparents in the holidays. He is befriended with a Maasai-like tribe called the Bogo Matassalai and with the Minimoys, tooth-sized, elfin beings, who all live there in the garden. The Bogo Matassalai grant Arthur a distinction regarding being one with nature, after succeeding in a series of tests, such as hugging a tree for hours, sleeping with a wild animal, and eating grass.



The Bogo Matassalai are capable of transforming a person to a Minimoy. It is only possible every tenth full moon, at midnight. Arthur is about to undergo this procedure, to visit the Minimoys (who are expecting him and preparing a party for him), and especially his beloved Selenia. A spider delivers to Arthur a grain of rice with the message "help", which must come from the Minimoys, and makes it even more important for him to visit them.

Arthur's father wants to kill bees, since Arthur is allergic to bee stings. However, his own father Archibald objects because of his respect for nature.Therefore Arthur's father wants to take the boy home earlier than planned. At a gas station Arthur escapes from the car and returns to his grandparents' house. The Bogo Matassalai attempt to transform him using a telescope, but this method fails due to clouds covering the full moon. Therefore Arthur asks the Bogo Matassalai to apply the alternative method, even though it is more dangerous. They agree. Arthur is wound into ropes, which are pulled more and more tight. It is so painful that Arthur begs them to stop, but it is too late to abort the procedure. It is successful.

It turns out that the bad Maltazard sent the message to lure Arthur, so that Maltazard can use the passage back, which is available at the next noon. Thus he arrives in the world of humans, enlarged to their size. He is pleased to see that animals are afraid of him (wikipedia).

I was surprised when saw Freddie in this movie. He still young, I mean not like 17th years old boy. But this movie was made in 2007 and he was 15 years old.
This movie was dedicated to celebrate Christmas 2009, and the next sequel, Arthur and the War of the Two Worlds, is planned for Christmas 2010. Hohoh... can not wait to see Freddie again. Let see the trailer
